We have had a long month of the boys being sick whether both at the same time or one and then the other. So hopefully they will be healthy soon. Although sick they have done some funny things:
Tyler
*He has become very observant and doesn't like to see anything out of place. He makes sure the bathroom door is closed ... although its only closed so he won't play in there. He can get the crackers out of the cupboard and if he knocks something over he picks it up or yells for someone to help.
*He has really started trying to copy whatever we say and do. He is definitely trying to talk more and wants to be just like Paxton. His favorite thing to do is play chase with Pax. He starts trying to get Pax but never seems to get him before he has turned around and starts running away for Pax to get him. Frustrating to Paxton since Tyler isn't following the rules.
*He has started saying, "Pew-yew" when he has a dirty diaper. I'll ask him if he needs his pants changed and he starts walking to his room. What a good boy!
Paxton
*His favorite number seems to be "80 80 3." I'll tell him 5 more minutes and he asks for "80 80 3" since it is longer. I usually agree since I'm the time keeper anyway so what difference does it make?
*He loves to talk to his little sister and has definite opinions about what she will be like, what to name her and what things she will like for her room. Nearly every day he says, "I'm so glad we're having a little sister."
*We are sheetrocking our basement and Pax wanted to help. Bryce gave him some scraps and let him put mud on them outside on the sidewalk. He was almost done with him last one so I took him out a couple more pieces and said, "will you mud these for me too?" He said, "no, it will take too long." Too funny since I just wanted him to feel like he was helping.

Surprise! Surprise!

This baby is full of surprises ... 1) we're pregnant and 2) we're having a girl. Our ultrasound went great and she is healthy. When the tech asked us if we could tell what we were having we both just looked at her and we're thinking, "I don't see what I think I'm supposed to see." She said, "a girl." Bryce asked her if she was sure and she went back and showed us again. We had kind of assumed we would have another boy so we were in shock. We are so excited though.
Paxton and Tyler were playing at the park with Grandma, Grandpa and Uncle Marsden while we were at the doctor appointment. When we got there to pick them up Pax ran over to ask what we were having. I said, "a baby sister." He got this huge grin and said, "Just what I wanted!" I'm so glad he was excited. He kept telling me I wasn't going to be the only girl anymore but I kept telling him it was okay if I was.
So now we get to do some fun shopping to get ready for our little girl.

Easter
We had a couple of easter outfit issues. Paxton definitely knows what he does or does not want to wear. I got them both these nice church outfits with a vest but as you can see Pax refused to put it on. I even tricked him and got it on but couldn't get it buttoned. He just kept saying, "that was not nice! I'm NOT wearing it." Oh well, he looked good in his tie. Tyler's arms were too big to button up his shirt sleeves so I ended up rolling them up.
We got a quick picture before leaving for church. Pax is always making a super huge smile face and closing his eyes. Here's our growing family.

Dying Easter Eggs
Tyler was just happy to be holding an egg. Next year will be a different story I'm sure.
Thanks Aunt Sarah!

The Return of Winter
Last week winter returned. We had 2 days of continuous snow. I am glad spring is back and we were able to go to the park yesterday but Pax was very excited to play in the snow again. We had to wait until Tyler was sleeping since it was FREEZING outside and the snow was coming down pretty hard. Pax didn't want to play by himself so I bundled up too.
He wanted to make snow ducks and he even added wings to them. Since I didn't want to wake Tyler up and go in their room to get Paxton's gloves neither of us had gloves on and our hands were SO cold. So we took a break and came in for a minute. Of course it didn't take Pax long to warm up and we headed back out.
He wanted to make more snow ducks but we decided instead to just make a snowman. We had fun looking for things to be their eyes, noses, etc. I offered him some hot chocolate to warm up and he headed right in ... he must have been as cold as I was. Just a few hours later we couldn't even see the snowman's hat. I'm sure we'll get snow at least one more time before it is warm for the spring.
