Quiet As A Mouse

Since Tyler has a big boy bed now when he wakes up from his nap or in the morning he just climbs out and comes to find us. I love to hear his little voice say, "ello?" but today I didn't hear a thing. I was headed to the kitchen to get Pax a snack and he was coming towards me with his hands out and a shampoo bottle in hand. He had obviously been awake long enough to rub shampoo into his hair and all over his hands. At least it didn't get all over the house too! So, we're already done with bath time for tonight.

Pax Wake Up!

Paxton hardly ever naps anymore. He seemed tired all afternoon and I kept telling him he should just lay down for a minute but he insisted he wasn't tired. So Tyler finally woke up from his nap and wanted to read a book. Pax read it with us and I noticed his drowsy eyes. I said, "I thought you were a little sleepy." He just looked at me and said, "I want to go to sleep." I think he was asleep before his head his the pillow. Tyler goes crazy when his brother is sleeping and he is awake. He wants his buddy to wake up and play. I guess Pax is truly worn out since Tyler was sitting on him, bouncing and yelling, "Pa-ton!" He just keeps snoring away.

Flaming Gorge Days

So this year we decided our favorite part of Flaming Gorge Days were the fireworks and the parade. There's a flea market, concerts, etc. but the parade was the boys favorite. Luckily it started at 10 a.m. since it was a very hot day. Tyler was happy to sit on Grandpa's lap and eat candy and otter pops.

Its really not a huge parade just a bunch of local businesses, high school groups, etc. Paxton loved the cement truck, monster trucks and fire trucks ... still a truck boy! He was quick at getting the candy and by the end asked if it was almost over. His bag was heavy and he was hot. He had fun with his cousins, Haley and Sydney, though.

Tyler was VERY tired since he stayed up to watch the fireworks the night before. He was content to lay on Grandpa until the traffic cleared out and we could get in our car. He was asleep in just a few minutes.

Las Vegas

Bryce had a dental meeting in Vegas so the boys and I and Aunt Natalie (Bryce's little sister) went along. It was so nice to have Nat with me to help with the boys ...
We went to the Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay. Its no wonder Pax knows so many little facts about things. When you enter they give you a radio tour guide and he had so much fun matching up the numbers on the sign and entering them in. He would listen and share the facts he was learning about the fish. We had fun touching the slimy sting rays. The small ones were too quick for Pax to catch since he had to stretch so far to reach them. The big one would just come and sit in front of us so he touched it several times.

Almost as good as Disneyland ... Paxton LOVES dressed up figures ... he was so excited to meet the green M&M.

We went to the children's museum on Friday. Pax was so excited to dress up as a fireman and couldn't believe how heavy the fire hose nozzles are. I think he has a new admiration for the firemen now.We probably spent the most time at this train at the museum. They both love trains anyway and loved pressing the buttons and pretending to drive.

It was a fun trip. Bryce and I got to go do a show while Aunt Nat watched the boys one night and we all went to the show at the Excalibur on another night. Paxton loved the knights and watching them joust and sword fight. Thanks Aunt Nat for all your help!

Circus Circus

Pax loved Circus Circus ... the games and rides. It looks like Bryce was having fun too. Paxton wanted to win a stuffed spiderman so after spending more than the spiderman was worth we won a spiderman. Paxton is the "real" spiderman, even goes by Peter Parker from time to time. The next morning while Natalie and I were getting ready he said, "why did I win myself? that's weird." I love how his imagination works.

Tyler was the cheaper one to take since he mostly didn't even care if we put quarters in a ride or not. He was totally content to just sit there and play.

We also went to the Fun Dome. Pax loved the frog ride which went up and then dropped down a little, back up and down more. He went on it at least half a dozen times. He would run out and get right back in line.
