why does the easter bunny eat guys?

Grandma Sue got Paxton excited about the easter bunny and told him he could even sit with him. Pax kept asking us to find the easter bunny! we were sure that when we went to see him then Pax wouldn't be excited anymore (the first two years he cried when sitting with Santa and this last Christmas he only wanted to talk to Santa and made sure we knew he wasn't sitting with him). anyway, he was still excited and could hardly wait his turn.

so ever since Pax has been carrying his picture around and last Thursday i found an old frame that he could put his picture in. All day he kept asking me, "Why does the easter bunny eat guys?" i just kept telling him the easter bunny eats carrots, lettuce, etc... not people, the easter bunny is not mean or scary. where did he get the idea that he eats people? i just figured it was his big imagination!

that night we were getting ready to read books and go to bed. i told Pax he should show dad that we found a frame for his picture. so again, he says "okay, but why did he eat that guy?" i was becoming tired of this same conversation and said, "Pax, they don't eat guys!" he points to the picture and says, "He ate that guy!" so i look really close at the picture and sure enough you can see the guy that is in the bunny costume ... should have gone to a mall with a better costume! i died laughing and Pax is still looking at me like so are you going to explain that? that's one of those mom moments where you just don't know what to say. so I told him the easter bunny gets really busy right now and that he has helpers dress up like him so that all the kids can sit with him. he seemed to buy it ... although now he just says the easter bunny needs to take his head off so that guy can climb out!

one more Paxton story ... the other day i was taking Pax to his class and needed to drop off a prescription before. so i told Pax we were going to see Larry the Pharmacist. he said okay and we drop off the prescription. so as we head to class he asks me if Larry has cows. i said i don't think so. Pax seems disappointed and says, "oh ... then what does he have?" he thought Larry was a FARMacist. So obviously he should have cows on his farm. I love his thought process sometimes! It definitely keeps me on my toes!
